Laboratory Identification

Simple, effective and affordable labeling solutions for identifying and tracking laboratory samples.

Brady's laboratory identification products are designed to serve the nation's biotechnology, agricultural, environmental and forensic researchers. These products meet four current labeling challenges associated with sample container tracking: sizing, legibility, durability and increased information requirements

Laboratory Labels

Brady's laboratory identification products are designed to serve the nation's biotechnology, agricultural, environmental and forensic researchers. These products meet four current labeling challenges associated with sample container tracking:

  • Labels that "match" existing vial, slide, and well plate sizes.
  • Labels that are readable by everyone, every time.
  • Labels that are durable under extreme conditions, including freezer storage, liquid nitrogen, autoclave andhot water baths and are resistant to solvents including Xylene, DMSO, and Ethanol.
  • Easy bar coding and scanning allowing researchers to include more label information and drastically reduce human error

Why Labels?

Printed Brady labels can be easily read by people or scanners, every time. Adding barcodes allow you to include more label information on samples to drastically reduce human error.

Barcode Capabilities

  • Easily identify and retrieve samples
  • Accurately track samples and chemicals from receipt to disposal
  • Eliminate human error with log-in and inventory data entry
  • Automatically update sample information

Hand-Written Labels

  • Hand-written information difficult to read
  • Ink smears easily when handled
  • Limited write-on area
  • Time consuming
  • Ink fades while stored long term
  • Chemicals and solvents wash away ink

LAB-DURABLE LABELS

Brady's special self-laminating or wrap around label protects your label's legend from extreme temperature, chemicals, and solvents that your specimens can come in contact with.

  • Printing is readable every time
  • Clear portion wraps around and laminates the legend
  • Provides window to view liquid level inside vial
  • Low profile label resists jamming in centrifuge or racks
  • Labels withstand liquid Nitrogen (-196°C), freezer (-80°C), autoclave (+121°C), and chemicals like Xylene

Benefits of Self-Laminating Labels

Brady's special self-laminating or wrap around label protects your label's legend from extreme temperature, chemicals, and solvents.

  • Clear portion raps around and laminates the legend
  • Legend is easily visible
  • Legend is protected from spills and scratches
  • Label completely wraps around the vial, tube, or slide

Chemical resistance for your legend is provided by the self-laminating tail. The following chemicals have been tested to insure image protection:

  • Ethanol
  • Methylene Chloride
  • Isopropanol
  • Toluene
  • Chloroform
  • Glacial Acetic Acid
  • Xyleno
  • Acetonitrile
  • DMSO
  • Hydrochloric Acid
  • Chlorox Solution
  • Sodium Hydroxide

NOTE: For best adhesion, we recommend that you do not touch the adhesive side of the label when wrapping it around your vial, tube or slide.
